If you need to make a claim on your insurance, follow these simple guidelines to ensure that your claim can be dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

Motor and Home Insurance claims

If you are unfortunate enough to suffer a loss and need to make an Insurance claim, RIB Group will endeavour to ensure that the process is as simple as possible.

In the first instance, you should telephone your Insurance Company as soon as possible after the incident. You will find the claims telephone number within your Policy document. It is important that you do not authorise repairs to your vehicle or your property until and unless your Insurance Company has approved such repairs.

Most Insurance Companies operate a 24 hour telephone helpline and will provide immediate help and advice.

You should be aware that there will be paper work to complete, although some Insurers do take claims information over the telephone. You will need to provide as much information as you can about the claim and, in the case of an accident, you may be asked to give a sketch of the incident. Don't forget that you will also need details of your Policy when reporting your claim.
